GOVERNOR TUNAI TOURS NAROK EAST WITH DEVELOPMENT GOODIES.


Its a great week for Narok East Constituency as Governor Samuel Kuntai Ole Tunai took a development tour of Ongata Naado Primary School in Mosiro ward, Narok East sub-county, and used the occasion to meet the residents of the ward.
The County Government had financed the construction of classrooms in various schools in the ward, including Kotiko Primary School, Ilkiremisho Primary School, Aramat Secondary School, and six classes at Mosiro Boarding School, all of which are now complete and ready for use. 
Governor instructed the CEC for Roads Department to ensure that the Ntulele - Kormoto road, Ntulele - Mosiro road and Ntulele - Ongata Naado road are re-graded with immediate effect. 
The county government under the leadership of Gov. Tunai have highly invested in schools’ infrastructure and education support through the bursary programme. County have hired over 600 Early Childhood Development Education teachers, who are now deployed across the county. 
In addition, Governor Tunai issued cheques to fund the following projects;
1) Oloika ECDE
2) Oloikumkum ECDE
3) Kormto ECDE
4) Ole Koonyo ECDE
5) Ongata Naado Primary School
6) Nturumeti Secondary School
7) Ntulele Dispensary
8) Ongata Naado Dispensary

Governor was accompanied by area MCA Hon. Salankat Nchoe  and  MP Hon. Ken Aramat among other opinion leaders.

BOOST FOR THE OLOLULUNG’A ISOLATION CENTRE AS HON SOIPAN MAKES DONATIONS.


The County Executive Committee Member for Health Morgan Siloma received an assortment of equipment made by the office of Narok's Women Representative Soipan Kudate to help in the equipping of Ololulung’a Isolation Centre.  
The donation included patient waiting benches, lockers, water dispensers, medicine, food trolleys, desktop computers, microwaves, blenders, heaters, face masks among others. 

The CECM thanked the Women Representative for her consistent support towards the Narok County COVID-19 Preparedness & Response and Coordination Committee terming it as a big encouragement to health workers and a demonstration of true leadership in a time when health facilities across the country are strained.
The Health County Executive also lauded Governor Samuel Ole Tunai for a clear vision and leadership that has seen Narok County confidently build the 300-bed Isolation Centre in addition to other measures taken to increase capacity of the Health Department as the country continue to face an increase in corona virus infections.
Also present was the Public Health Chief Officer Geoffrey Sang, Medical Services Chief Officer Sahara Ibrahim among others.

Governor Tunai meets Education experts, county leaders & security team ahead of schools re-opening

Governor Samuel Kuntai Ole Tunai have convened a consultative meeting that brought together the political leadership of Narok County (Members of Parliament and Members of the County Assembly), the Narok County Commissioner, officers for the sub-county level, and County Education Experts to deliberate on, and consolidate efforts towards supporting the preparation of schools in the count, which are scheduled to re-open on January 4th 2021.
The leadership have committed to work hand-in-hand with all stakeholders in the education sector, jointly with the heads of primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institutions to help them meet and sustain the guidelines for re-opening as provided by the Ministry of Health.
Hon Samuel ole tunai's administration will work closely with relevant officers from the National Government’s Ministries of Health and Education, to help schools overcome or manage the possible spread of covid-19 once schools re-open.
