We will do what it takes to retain CDF, Mps

MPs vows to fight all odds to retain CDF, in an inclusive interview most of them critisized the move by High court.
Most of them including Chair CDF committee rubbished the call and promised to fight it back.

“We will do whatever it takes to make sure CDF is here to stay. We will go to the Court of Appeal; we will push for the amendment of the CDF Act and align it with the Constitution as ordered by court; and we might even amend the Constitution if it comes to that,” said Lessonet.

MPs from the shores of Lake Victoria, the plains of Kajiado, the slopes of Mt Kenya, the escarpments in the Rift Valley, the fertile lands of Kiambu and the arid lands of Northern Kenya criticised the High Court ruling.

They said they would fight in the Judiciary, in the public space and in the Legislature to make sure the fund remained in the statutes of the country. They slammed the judges’ reasoning as “erroneous”, “illegal” and termed it as one peppered with “judicial activism”.

Narok east Ole Meshuko Resignation is political, not HONEST

In war or words and political upset, truth is always the casualty......... There goes my favourite quote of political atmosphere.

Following George Meshuko resignation as CEC of public service in Narok county government, the move has attracted critics and praises in equal measures.

He has highlighted some things he feels has besieged his action and thus, our duty to dig for the truth, does his resignation has what to do with Narok east politics and Narok east MP working with Tunai?.

I want to take you down memory lane the path of the constitution which was promulgated n 2010, County government Act article 34- 41 which stipulate the duties of county executive member,  And or the procedures of sacking the member.

I have read meshuko resignation letter to the media and I sum by calling our county leaders to sit down and have a common platform to share divergent views regarding the governance of the county.

l am not assuming Meshuko words on accountability call but am asking was he accountable? If yes, then to who? His Narok east supporters or to the governor who is his boss?

Did meshuko relinguished his political ambitions when he was appointed as Executive member?

Let me speed you to event, from the word go I watch in disbelief meshuko press briefing, remembering when he took the position in 2013.

Tendering his resignation Meshuko blamed the Governor Tunai of sabotaging and micromanaging the departmental units in the county which has forced him to quit the job, Similarly its believed that the CEC has not been working closely with Public service board members, He has also blamed his chief officer of ignoring his directives.

Meshuko who unsuccessful contested Narok East parliamentary seat hails from Narok east keekonyokie clan, Former CEC is equally a political rival of Narok east MP Ken Aramat who of late works closely with Narok governor.

The close working relationship between governor tunai and ken observers says has hampered meshuko to quit and look for greener pastures from the region reading the mood of Narok political decisions. Meshuko is grooming to vie Narok east mp 2017 and thus could not do that when the governor is working with KEN- its in public domain.. ""Look my supporter's view in resignation letter""

Ladies and gentlemen l see Meshuko being not very honest with regard to his resignation yesterday. As much as his letter is concern the guy is speaking on a point of arrogance dragging his political supporters and Narok east politics to service delivery of the county government.

The post of county executive committee is a public office which doesn't condone region politics or even party affliction. If meshuko could not want to see KEN (who is Narok east MP) in county corridors then that is the least we expect our leaders of this generation to become.

Political rivalry has been the thorn in the flesh of Narok populace and my general or rather conclusive assumption would rather see the divided Narok than we could imagine.

I am an ardent champion of good governance and all aspect would see the light if we all be accountable at oupr position of service delivery without considering party affiliations. You can see senator ntutu and other four MPs fighting within.

If mmeshuko had the interest of Narok east residents at heart as he claim he should have fought a good fight within the county government and make the best by pushing Narok county government to do the best he wishes.

As matter flow in heart stream street of narok and beyond, We can not distinguish the current fate he has succumbed and the fate at which article 37,of county government act which says a member could be sacked if he is incompetent, or gross misconduct.

To prove the otherwise not contrary meahuko has went ahead and posted furious Facebook posts accusing Narok east mp of being the personal assistant of Narok governor.

I am for truth as all cost and justice in equal measures no matter who is for or against. In Narok the we need honeat civil servant and not scapegoat politicians who will at last bring political bigotry to defend their undoinngs.

I rest my case by calling meshuko to be honest and tell narokians why he resigned? Or was he sacked?.

I am me in thought.

God Bless Narok

KMC to buy livestok at sh 180 per kilo, In Narok

Kenyan Government is in the process of providing funds to enable
Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) to buy livestock from farmers
who want to offload some of their animals from Narok County
this dry season.

The Principal Secretary in the State Department of Livestock
Professor Fred Segor said KMC will buy the livestock at
sh.180 per kilo and urged farmers to take advantage of this
opportunity to offload some of their animals and use the
money for other economic activities instead of leaving them to
die due to drought.

Prof. Segor advised farmers to practice sustainable livestock
faming by keeping only those animals that they can manage
instead of keeping many animals which eventually die of
drought and diseases leading to huge economic loses.

The PS was speaking in Narok yesterday where he
commissioned a new livestock market in Duka Moja, a 50,000
hay storage facility at Sheep and Goats research centre in
Narok town and a demonstration fish pond and rehabilitated
water spring in Mulot area.

The projects were funded by United Nation Development
Progranme (UNDP) under the Sustainable Land Use (SLM)
project in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture,
Livestock and Fisheries. Under the project, farmers are trained
on proper farming and livestock keeping as well as proper land
use in order to make farming activities sustainable.
Farmers who have benefitted from this pilot programme were
enabled to purchase good quality breeds of livestock and
chicken in order to improve their local breeds for better
productivity. The project in being piloted in Narok, Kitui, Embu
and Garissa Counties.

Prof. Segor said the project targets Arid and Semi-arid (ASAL)
areas of the country where land has been degraded due to
inappropriate land use such as over-exploitation of available
pastures by training farmers and equipping them with proper
farming and land management skills.

The Ps said the Livestock market will enable farmers to sell
their animals without being exploited by middlemen and urged
the farmers to make use of the market.

He also noted, a lot of vegetation that could go into feeding
livestock during dry weather is lost in the rain season due to
lack of equipment and machinery to process the same into
fodder and lack of proper storage for the fodder and the
50,000 bales of hay capacity store at the Sheep and Goats
research Centre will go a long way in improving processing and storage of hay for livestock in the county and improve their productivity.

The fish pond which was equipped with 1,200 fingerlings is
geared towards helping the farmers to diversify their farming
activities in order to improve food security. The water project
at Omomet village in Mulot area will help provide clean
drinking water to over 2,000 people and their livestock.

Also present at the function were; national Director of
Livestock Mr. Julius Kiptarus, UNDP national SLN programme
analyst Ms. Zeinabu Khalif who has been instrumental in the
project as she was the project manager at the Ministry before
moving to UNDP, County Executive member in charge of
Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Mr. Richard Birir among
other dignitaries.

Whom to avoid when doing your business

10 People Who Will Destroy Your Business

1. The siren.

Sirens are those amazing and enticing people who come into your business and completely distract you. More than anyone else, these people have a way of stealing your focus and throwing your efforts off track. A lot of promising futures have been
sacrificed to sirens. Some people have sold their businesses for way less than they are worth and others have given up
on their businesses to chase a get-rich- quick scheme than some sirens pitched them. Don’t let this happen to you. Don’t let an amazing person make you forget that you and your business have something amazing to offer the world, too.

2. The goat.

Goats are those wildly charismatic, big- talking and full-of-luck people who seem to get away with everything. These people have many strengths. The problem is that they use their strengths in devious ways. Goats have little ambition beyond convincing others to make bad decisions. If you find yourself constantly making bad business decisions every time you’re around someone in particular, it’s time to cut that person out of your business.

3. The elephant.

An elephant never forgets. Elephants are those people in your business who never let you live down past mistakes. They never let you live down who you used to be or how many times you’ve messed up. Don’t let an elephant pull you back into
the past. Everyone fails, especially entrepreneurs. If you’ve failed, it means you’ve learned. So stay on track and keep moving forward.

4. The hater.

:-) Haters are people who want to be on top but don’t want to work to get there. Instead, they want to push everyone else
around them down so it will seem like they’re on top. Haters are losers but they also can serve as a source of motivation in a strange way. Don’t let haters into your business but use them as motivation to make your business as strong as possible.

5. The narcissist.

Narcissists are talented people who are too consumed with themselves to take action. They’re especially bad at taking
team-oriented action. A narcissist might even encourage you to put the image of your business over its reputation. This is always bad idea. When starting a business, it’s best to be transparent and authentic. Don’t try to make things seem bigger than they are and avoid trying to be something you’re not. Instead, be real. Keep narcissists out of your startup and stay focused on your reputation, not your image.

6. The nemesis.

When you’re starting a business, sometimes you’ll have to work with someone whom you can’t stand and who can’t stand you. If you’re not careful, this can become a major distraction. Try to realize that what you don’t like about a nemesis is probably something you don’t like about yourself or it’s something that you like too much about yourself. Either way, something is at odds with your identity and the only way to fix it is to turn the mirror on yourself, not the nemesis. Your adversary can be your advisor in a way. If you bring a nemesis into your startup, use this person to learn about yourself. Once you do this, he or she won’t be your nemesis anymore.

7. The Ares.

Ares is the Greek god of war. Ares-type people love conflict. They are addicted to drama and winning at all costs, even if
there’s nothing to be won. Any time spent trying to correct or even understand an Ares is a waste of time. You are better off
ignoring these people and keeping them out of your business altogether.

8. The Dionysus.

Dionysus is the Greek god of wine, parties and pleasure. Dionysus sorts are pleasure seekers who have very little
patience for anything other than instant gratification. Be careful when letting these people into your business because base pleasure of any kind is both addictive and time- consuming. It’s important to have friends and have fun, but you should never
sacrifice your startup to a string of late nights.

9. The black cat.

Some people can walk into a business and light it up. Others walk in and kill it. Black cats are the latter. They are the
people who seem to have a dark cloud following them everywhere they go. These people are unlucky, negative and
always depressed. Don’t feel bad for these people. Odds are, they like sitting in the pits. They like the attention it gives
them. So, let them sit. Just make sure they’re sitting outside your business.

10. The fat cat.

Fat cats are those people who will come into your business, throw a bunch of money around and offer you the world. Whether these people are angel investors or venture capitalists from top firms, don’t let their flash or their cash distract you from the fact that they want to control your company and make money off you. Be very careful with whom give your business to. You didn’t work this hard to watch your brand and reputation go down in flames at the paws of some fat cat who
is now calling the shots.

Charity Seleina Kisotu Appointed as Chairperson of National Social Security Fund ( NSSF ) board of trustees.

Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi has appointed Charity Seleina Kisotu as Chairperson of National Social Security Fund ( NSSF ) board of trustees.

The appointment of Kisotu, who was seconded by COTU to the workers’ pension body, takes effect from February 2, 2015.

Ms Kisotu replaces Cornel Nyang’un who was dropped after he fell out with his former employer Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu) in 2013. Kambi had been reluctant to act on the workers’ union request to appoint a replacement.

Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli has claimed that Nyang’un was involved in a Sh115 million fraud on the lobby’s bank account.

Ms Kisotu is also the Chairperson of the board of directors of Kenya Wine Agency Limited, (KWAL).

Charity last year resigned as Member of Narok county public service board with unspecified reasons.

Activist Ken Saro Wiwa of Naigeria last words

My lord,

We all stand before history. I am a man of peace,
of ideas. Appalled by the denigrating poverty of my
people who live on a richly endowed land,
distressed by their political marginalization and
economic strangulation, angered by the devastation
of their land, their ultimate heritage, anxious to
preserve their right to life and to a decent living,
and determined to usher to this country as a whole
a fair and just democratic system which protects
everyone and every ethnic group and gives us all a
valid claim to human civilization, I have devoted
my intellectual and material resources, my very
life, to a cause in which I have total belief and
from which I cannot be blackmailed or
intimidated. I have no doubt at all about the
ultimate success of my cause, no matter the trials
and tribulations which I and those who believe
with me may encounter on our journey. Neither
imprisonment nor death can stop our ultimate
victory.

I repeat that we all stand before history. I and my
colleagues are not the only ones on trial. Shell is
here on trial and it is as well that it is represented
by counsel said to be holding a watching brief. The
Company has, indeed, ducked this particular trial,
but its day will surely come and the lessons learnt
here may prove useful to it for there is no doubt in
my mind that the ecological war that the Company
has waged in the Delta will be called to question
sooner than later and the crimes of that war be
duly punished. The crime of the Company's dirty
wars against the Ogoni people will also be
punished.

On trial also is the Nigerian nation, its present
rulers and those who assist them. Any nation
which can do to the weak and disadvantaged what
the Nigerian nation has done to the Ogoni, loses a
claim to independence and to freedom from
outside influence. I am not one of those who shy
away from protesting injustice and oppression,
arguing that they are expected in a military
regime. The military do not act alone. They are
supported by a gaggle of politicians, lawyers,
judges, academics and businessmen, all of them
hiding under the claim that they are only doing
their duty, men and women too afraid to wash
their pants of urine.

We all stand on trial, my lord, for by our actions
we have denigrated our Country and jeopardized
the future of our children. As we subscribe to the
sub-normal and accept double standards, as we lie
and cheat openly, as we protect injustice and
oppression, we empty our classrooms, denigrate
our hospitals, fill our stomachs with hunger and
elect to make ourselves the slaves of those who
ascribe to higher standards, pursue the truth, and
honour justice, freedom, and hard work. I predict
that the scene here will be played and replayed by
generations yet unborn. Some have already cast
themselves in the role of villains, some are tragic
victims, some still have a chance to redeem
themselves. The choice is for each individual.

I predict that the denoument of the riddle of the
Niger delta will soon come. The agenda is being set
at this trial. Whether the peaceful ways I have
favoured will prevail depends on what the
oppressor decides, what signals it sends out to the
waiting public.

In my innocence of the false charges I face Here, in
my utter conviction, I call upon the Ogoni people,
the peoples of the Niger delta, and the oppressed
ethnic minorities of Nigeria to stand up now and
fight fearlessly and peacefully for their rights.
History is on their side. God is on their side. For
the Holy Quran says in Sura 42, verse 41: "All those
that fight when oppressed incur no guilt, but Allah
shall punish the oppressor." Come the day.

Martin Luther King Message to NAROK COUNTY

"We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now." -- Martin Luther King, Jr

"We must learn to live together as brothers, or we are going to perish together as fools." -- Martin Luther King, Jr

We have learned to fly the air like birds and swim the sea like fish, but we have not learned the simple art of living together as brothers. -- Martin Luther King, Jr

"The hope of a secure and livable world lies with disciplined nonconformists who are dedicated to justice, peace and brotherhood." -- Martin Luther King, Jr

Ultimately Narok is big that all of its populace

In politics, religion and other areas of culture, people disagree on the worth of competing ideas. There is no equivalent to the scientific method that can determine in a robust way which ideas match the real world, and which ones can be ruled out. So conflicting ideologies persist
indefinitely. And the basis on which we agreed to operate with them involved a manifesto, where it states that we proceed from different ideologies and policies. One thing that we insisted on was that they should take an oath to reject racism and discrimination.

Nkaiserry Hates PURKO with passion see what he did infront of UHURU

The State House meeting was organized by a group
of Maasai leaders who wanted an audience with
the Father of the Nation.

Those in attendance included Jubilee Chief Whip,
Katoo Ole Metito, Kajiado East MP, Peris Tobiko,
Kajiado Senator, Peter Mositet, Kajiado County
Assembly speaker John Osoi, Josiah Taraiya Kores,
Kenya Meat Commission Chairman, politician
Simon Kinyanjui, Kajiado Central aspirant, Patrick
Tutui, and several MCAs.

But conspicuously missing from the meeting was
Nkaissery who had earlier confirmed that he will
attend the meeting.

When President Uhuru Kenyatta started the
meeting, he was shocked to learn that Nkaissery
was not present. When he inquired, Uhuru was
told that Nkaissery declined to attend the meeting
because of the presence of Purko MCA, Samuel
Kipaika, who often abuses him in public forums.

After consulting the leaders, the President ordered
Kipaika to leave immediately and Nkaissery later
joined the President for the highly charged
meeting.
