Narok County is the 2017 host of the 4th Annual Devolution Conference. The event will take place in Maassi Mara according to the Council of Governors (CoG).
”The 3rd Annual Devolution Conference was held in Meru County, and after a mutual agreement it was decided that the next Annual Devolution Conference will be held in the Maasai Mara in Narok County.”
The county which neighbours Nakuru, Kericho and Bomet counties will benefit immensely from the conference as businesses will be boosted, besides promoting the County’s tourism sector given that it is a tourism hub.
“For the first time ever, the Conference will be held in the Wild. A good number of delegates are expected to attend the world class conference,” said CoG.
The First, and Second Annual Devolution Conferences were held in Kwale and Kisumu counties respectively, giving host devolved units an opportunity to explore their potentials, entrepreneurship, tourism sectors and natural resources.
The events have also given small business owners and traders to earn profits by selling products or hiring services to the county governments, delegates and visitors, earning them profits.
