RAILA ODINGA statement regarding Langata Primary land grabbing

I have learnt with extreme shock and shame that pupils of Langa’ta Road Primary School have been injured after police threw tear gas canisters at them and other well-wishers who joined them to protest the grabbing of their school’s playground.

This is brutality beyond words and greed beyond description. It is difficult to believe that police can actually deploy against primary school children and lobby tear gas at them to defend a land grabber.

This image of a nation determined to steal forcefully from its own children cannot be what we aspire to. It cannot be the legacy we want to bequeath the children.

However greedy, acquisitive and heartless we may be, we surely can stand up for the children. After all, they are the people we are guarding the nation for.

I stand with the parents, pupils and teachers of this school over this land. At the very least, I am prepared to give them the benefit of doubt that they own the land. Somebody must be held accountable for this primitive and shameful action.

THE RT. HON. ON RAILA ODINGA, EGH.

Never force your child to Pray

Never Force Your Child to Pray

The neighbors had come over for dinner at Little Johnny's
place. As they sat down for dinner, father asked Little Johnny
to do the prayers.

Johnny replied, "But dad, i am scared." His Dad told him to
just be honest and say what he felt best. So as everyone
joined hands,

Johnny began: "Dear Lord, thank you for bringing the kid who
ate my cookies. Please bless them him with food so that he
doesn't take mine. Also forgive his elder brother who
undressed my sister and started wrestling with her. I am sure
he wont do that again. Speaking of clothes, I want you to
bless all the naked women on my dads phone with clothes.
Seriously, they need it. And lastly, I want you to provide
shelter to the homeless man who sleeps with my mom when
dad goes to work. Thank you." No one had dinner that day.

ITS PUBLIC OUTCRY OVER KILGORIS MP Hon. KONCHELLAH's SILENCE

My (mothers) in kilgoris want the cut to continue because they are not aware of the law, My MP konchellah legislate the laws, Facilitate Youth groups to go civil education on social practices and community enlightenment if Projects are Finished. # KilgorisForward

One day, we might ans must have an honest conversation about the # KilgorisConstituency crisis that emanates from petty region politics and nepotic esteem. Its 21st Century and MP roles are in public domain.

This financial year 14/15 I overheard roadside declaration that Oltanki sec and Osongoroi will receive Sh 2M each, that seem valid as This was said when DP Ruto visited Kilgoris central ward. Can we wait another visit by Ruto to get another donation?, No # LestWeForget , Kilgoris CDF must tell us better & unique way they do with taxpayer money

I am astounded that my immediate Tororek primary school was to be funded by Kilgoris CDF last year May with sh 6M to be a boarding school, Funds not released, Hon Konchellah can we know what we don't know.

Silence to point what is unjust is what made many people millionaires, Kilgoris MP must work for the people, Are we voting robots? Tax payers money should be accounted. All time anywhere including on phone call.

By the way  Mheshimiwa Ngong of Emuru Dikirr is giving out development cheques to schools like every school bana and bursaries like to everyone, l wish to know my Kilgoris MP work, Do they sit in same Parliament? remember, Emurua Dikirr had Sh80M and kilgoris had like Sh100M.

Kilgoris Anti-FGM activist almost Lynched by Sikawa women over the "CUT"

"We want the cut"  was a message send by Kilgoris women, They almost lynched one crusader of anti-FGM whom they argud using the shade of anti-FGM to profit her self. Sikawa women are wrong and right in equal terms, they need to have soughted procedural law to bring down the corrupt activist, They are right that they want culture.

l agree  that Women Should not only be seen but also Be HEARD;  The recent and more during the inception of our constitution our mothers have not come to terms with vigorous calling of stopping FGM. They have held severally demonstration in solidarity of culture, lndeedn they are right not that I support but because they must be listened.

Walter Lippmann in his broad definition said that "Culture is the name for what people are interested in, their thoughts, their models, the books they read and the speeches they hear, their table-talk, gossip, controversies, historical sense and scientific training, the values they appreciate, the quality of life they admire. All communities have a culture. It is the climate of their civilization."

Women going to roads demanding culture are right, we must go down and listen their cry and tell them what law says about their quest, our study of law or rather schooling must not been mistaken of ignorance.

Karl krasus argued " Culture is the tacit agreement to let the means of subsistence disappear behind the purpose of existence. Civilization is the subordination of the latter to the former." FGM is not a good vice, indeed let's go to them and tell them why its a decision of our girls when they attain the age of 18 years.

Why its Amos Saningo Rolex now; Kilgoris Central

My People All around me I see the suffering  and struggle of the common man especially the youths, elderly and the children, on them I see poverty, disease and hunger reaching endemic and unacceptable levels. I tested it, it can be fixed.

I see islands of prosperity amidst a sea of poverty and deprivation. I see brothers who have been favoured by providence
separating themselves from their less fortunate brothers using high fences, barbed wire, mean security guards and exotic dogs.

I see our people struggling to make ends meet as our rich land produces billions fro minerals for a tiny rich elite that operates in the shadows and talks in whispers. I see our people robbed of their dignity and wealth by drought and famine.I see the dehumanizing conditions that make vast swathes of our populace eat wild fruits.I cry at the debilitating hunger that makes a mother slaughter dogs for her family to eat.My heart bleeds as I see a father selling his 12 year old daughter to a 70 year old man so as to restock his herd of cows. We have to fix it.

I see mothers walking long distances to fetch water from muddy pools while the political elite divert water to their vast lush
flower farms.I see the first time mothers giving birth in unhygienic conditions without the attention of a specialist because the hospital is too far and maternity costs are too high.I am pained when thousands of promising young lives are cut short by preventable diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, typhoid and cholera.I feel the pain of the many and I TESTED IT AND I WANT TO FIX IT.

Many young boys and girls are not able to access education due to prohibitive fees and an archaic social system. The greedy and corrupt leaders glorify and buttress this poverty so that the culture of handouts and ignorance -on which their vicious grip on power- depends is never  broken.I see thousands of boys whose only hope is to become a watchman or a truck driver.I see
scores of girls who only wish to be barmaids and househelps. These careers are their choices due the absence of hope.

Our dreams have been deferred for too long that you are the leader of tommorow.

As I  take on the arms of impunity, corruption and poverty, fellow youths l need your support in this titanic battle that reshape our destiny. It is a battle between slavery and freedom, domination and independence, patronage and partnership and in that I am solidly reminded of Dante Aghileri’s words “The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in times of Great moral crisis maintain their neutrality”

Like corruption in kenya, Charcoal burning persit, Forest off

In trans mara almost 200 charcoal bags routes to kisii county daily, From time immemorial, Administrative officers know the routes, they do nothing. Its sad that leaders are silent over what can make future generations regrets. Stand up my people
