Kenya's confirmed CORONAVIRUS cases now 4, Health minister says

Kenya Now has four cases of confirmed coronavirus cases. Patient Travelled to London UK on 8th March and arrived in the country on 9th

All who may have come into contact with the patient are on the process of being rounded up for quarantine. According to Health CS, a total of 111 cases have tested. Quarantine is not a request but order and failure to will attract a jail term or fine.

A total of 23 patients released from Mbagathi hospital to self-quarantine at home. “We continue to encourage a cashless society,” said the CS. Kenyans are requested to avoid crowded places while those that work in offices are requested to work and stay at home.

“In order for us not to suffer an economic crisis, we have decided vessels at the Port will continue but be disinfected,” Mutahi Kagwe said in a brief to the nation. “UN diplomats can travel but must follow rules on quarantine… This is not a joke, it is the real thing, and we must be realistic.”

The CS said, “We continue to urge Kenyans to observe maximum hygiene and highlight the seriousness of this virus”
