One shot DEAD, 10 injured as Narok demonstration goes SOUR

Narok county residents today took the road to demonstrate against what they term as misappropriation of funds by the county government of Narok.

Peaceful demonstration started amid of tight security after interior security minister cs Joseph ole nkaiserry suspended the picketing event in narok.

The people came out after lapse of presidential request to investigate Narok allegations.

Leading the demonstration Narok senator stephen ole ntutu, emurua Dikirr MP Johanna ngeno, Narok south mp Lemein and Narok west MP patrtick ole ntutu, they told the people to be peaceful and maintain peace.
''Let's be peaceful and lead our main course of addressing our problems in a good way" said ntutu

"The constitution gives us a right to picket and demonstrate and no one will take in from you not even the CS of interior" said ngong.

They thanked national government for providing enough security in narok,.

The demonstrations got sour after police fired teargas and live bullet to the demonstrators.

The police and county rangers sprayed live bullets to the hundreds of demonstrators who were chanting anti county government songs.

The petition was handed over to county Secretary.

More than 10 people were shot instantly and one person succumbed to injuries.

Its is said that county OCPD was also injured.
